We are located in Brighton, Illinois, near the confluence of three counties, thereby serving the tri-county area of Macoupin, Jersey and Madison counties in Illinois.
St. John’s is an Open and Affirming church that serves the area with a more progressive, inclusive Christian voice. St. John's embraces the diversity of all people. We seek to build spiritual growth through worship and community engagement, while providing a safe and nurturing Christian environment for all to grow in their relationship with God and each other.
St. John's was established in 1870, one year after the village of Brighton was incorporated.
We are located on the corner of North and Maple Streets in Brighton, along Highway 111/267.
