Here’s what’s happening this week (May 3 to May 9) at St. John’s UCC in Brighton, IL.
- St. John's continues its support for the Brighton Food Pantry. This month the pantry is requesting donations of trash bags and Ziploc bags. Please bring your donations to St. John's UCC, 216 North St., Brighton, IL. The Brighton Food Pantry serves those in need in the Southwestern School District.
- The national office of the United Church of Christ is inviting its members to participate in "250 Acts of Kindness" to celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States. The UCC is partnering with the Values in Action Foundation to promote each member to perform 250 acts of kindness between now and the end of the year. The campaign aims to promote kindness as a defining national virtue.
- Preparations are underway for Mother's Day worship at St. John's. It will be a special service to honor all mothers. Be sure to be there! You won't want to miss it.
